Modded Java (NeoForge) (PotatoCraft)

PotatoCraft Server:  This is a modded neoforge survival server, which is tons of fun, but you will need a custom modpack and special launcher installed. Instructions can be found below. Click here to download the modpack and here to download the launcher.

First-time setup instructions:

1.  Download the launcher by clicking the link above, then clicking "Download TL" and selecting your operating system. Install the launcher normally.

2.  If TLauncher attempts to install Java Runtime Environment during the installation, make sure to do that as minecraft will not be able to run without it.

3. If you miss the Java installation simply click this link and download and install java from there.

4. Once you have Java and the launcher installed, run TLauncher and complete first time setup. Do not sign up or login with any accounts, setting an offline username is perfectly fine.

5. Now you are simply going to select a username (do not check "Accounts") and the latest version of Minecraft from the selection menu and select "Install" 

6. This will not be the version you use for PotatoCraft, it is just to establish the structure of the .minecraft directory. You did, however just get free Vanilla Minecraft.

7. Next up, once Minecraft is installed, do not enter the game. You are going to close TLauncher and follow the OS-specific instructions below to mod your Minecraft installation.

   1. Windows:

      1. Open File Explorer, click address/path bar and paste "%APPDATA%\.minecraft" into it.

      2. Open "versions" folder

      1. Open Finder and perform keyboard shortcut Command+Shift+G.

      2. paste this: "~/Library/Application Support/minecraft"

To connect to the NeoForge server:

Using the provided neoforge client, start game using profile "Neo" with any username (do not log in online) , then navigate to Multiplayer and connect to the preinstalled server config. If not preinstalled, navigate to Multiplayer and create a new server config. The address is potatoserver.sytes.net and the port is 25565. If there is no port dialog, enter potatoserver.sytes.net:25565
